Crops and Floggers and Belts, Oh, My!

I found myself mentally chanting those words, bent over the bed, ass exposed, waiting for the flogging to begin… It was leather night, very exciting after last week’s wood night.

It’s not that I don’t enjoy paddles. I do. But not quite as much or as hard as Sir planned (and carried out.) Of course, he does a progression from a small paddle with fairly light strokes to the biggest, worst paddle, ending with 10 additional, fierce blows with the worst one. Yikes.

But leather? Ooooh, I may have told you before how much I love leather. Sigh… the whistle as it cuts through the air, the slap as it lands… such a delight.

This week, he was intent on collecting data on how much sting each instrument had. After he finished with each tool, he wanted a rating on a scale of 1-10. Those of you who have been on the receiving end of a spanking may understand how difficult that is! First of all, he’s not always using the same amount of force. Secondly, how much sting there is depends a lot on where it lands – right? But he was tracking how much impact each instrument had compared to how much energy he had to put into it. So I gave my best guesstimates and will let him figure out the ratios.

There is something a bit objectifying about this data collection process. In the moment, I don’t really like it. But thinking back on it, it is actually kind of hot. You know, in some odd, kinky way.

Occasionally, I might think longingly about having a more intense dynamic at other times during the week. But consistent maintenance and a bit of consistent play are so good for me! I don’t want to be like the fisherman’s wife in the fairy tale where the fish is granting her husband wishes. She keeps sending him back to the fish, asking for more and more and more, until the fish gets angry and takes back everything she’d already gotten. It’s a cautionary tale that I’ve taken to heart over the years. (Keeping in mind that the other extreme is not asking for anything, which is also not a good strategy!)

In any case, I am content. I have had some plot twists that led to cool things happening in the vanilla world – career changes that will lead to more financial security, some travel, and more. If I’m not here as often, it is because all is well. If I’m commenting less on blogs, I continue to read and send love. Hope all is well with you too.

  1. Hi Olivia, ooh yes, leather! Trying to rate each inplement is so difficult, especially in the moment. So many factors

I am so glad to hear all is well and that you and Sir X seem to be going from strenth to strength. That is awesome news about the vanilla changes too. Happy for you!
