I did it. I compiled all of Part I from Connections, with Sofia and Lucas, into one page and posted it. Now, I didn’t do any editing, all I actually did was copy and paste it. So it’s hard to say why I’m so pleased with myself. But I am, so I’m just going to take it for what it’s worth. It’s a first step toward something…

In other news, I have run across another young man who was a bit flirty, then started telling me how much he likes older women. I am convinced that they just figure we’ll be so thrilled and grateful for the attention of a young man that we’ll be eager to please – or else maybe they want money and think they can con us.

I’m not saying that younger men can’t be attracted to or fall in love with older women without some semi-nefarious purpose. Of course they can and I’m sure they do. I even know of some. But it just seems super unlikely to me that someone who really knows nothing about me would just randomly be attracted.

Or maybe i just have low self-esteem? No, that’s not it. When I was younger, it took me a while to realize that not every boy that said, “you’re beautiful, I love you,” really meant it. That’s not a negative reflection on me, it’s just real. But it’s fun flirting, that’s for sure. And now that he knows I’m not interested “that way,” it’s all good.

AND I’m planning a trip to Costa Rica in May. How cool is that? The stars aligned and made it possible – and I’m doing it. Wish me luck – or Bon Voyage – or something.
