Happy BDSM Valentine’s Day

For the record, Valentine’s Day is not my favorite holiday – It’s a Hallmark holiday so there’s too much pressure to “show” your love with material things and I don’t like it.  Although, in all honesty, I would probably like it more if I got roses.

But MP, even when we were in the throes of passion, was not a Dozen Roses kind of guy.  Yes, I’ve hinted, I’ve said, “Yeah, I really like cut flowers. Roses, particularly.”  But he’s not ever going to get me roses. And that’s ok.

And really Valentines Day should be about the pleasure of showing your loved one how much you love them, not about getting roses, right?  So I bought him a box of chocolates and a card.

This morning, i googled Valentine cards BDSM and get some delightful results.  Here are some of them:

So Happy Valentine’s Day to you – hoping you have a lovely day!

  1. Hi Olivia,
Love the cards. I was looking at some bdsm related cards myself this year.
Hope you have a nice Valentines Day…. and I hooe he surprises you one of these days and gives you those roses.
But I agree with you. We shoukd show our partner we love them every day by the way we treat and serve them. Love is an action, not something we buy someone.

    Hugs,

  2. I often find myself offended by the petty “look what I got” game at work on Valentine’s Day – at the office it always comes out as a competition as to who got the biggest gift delivered to the front desk. Lucky for me, I’m not at the office this year! Simply home with Eric – even if we do nothing I’m better off. 🙂

    • Oh, absolutely, Amy!! Honestly, I have had relationships (years ago) that involved roses delivered to the front desk and lots of ooohing and ahhhhing from others. I hope I wasn’t petty about it!! But it was better to get flowers when it’s NOT Valentine’s Day… On the other hand, it sounds like being at home is working well for you – I’m so glad.

  3. I watched people getting flowers delivered for them today and thought, “someday, someone is going to send me flowers… prolly not ’til my funeral, but it’s still a goal!”
Noble talk is easy. And true, of course.
But I still wouldn’t mind the odd daisy. ;-p

    • Ha, probably flowers for my funeral too! Although they might do a “donate to this charity for mine…”

Yeah The “odd daisy” would be nice. I buy myself flowers sometimes, and that’s nice, but not the same.

    • Oh, agreed – a surprise bouquet would be lovely! Some house guests we had recently brought flowers, and that was super lovely. Even though it wasn’t the romantic moment we’re talking about. Which would be even better. Sigh.
