IRL

In real life, Gentle Readers, I spent a bunch of time at doctor appointments yesterday. They did some tests and then I met with the doctor who was going to do my surgery next week. Yes, that’s “was.” The tests showed that all indications of the problems I’d had were gone. They don’t know why, they don’t see anything off about the original diagnosis, but there’s no reason for surgery.

If I’d asked for prayers, I guess we could chalk it up to “prayers answered,” but I didn’t ask for prayers or healing or anything, so who knows… It would be pretty random of God to decide to fix this situation, which wasn’t actually dire or anything, when there are millions of people suffering from all kinds of things, so I’m not inclined to call it a miracle like that.

In any case, I’m not having surgery, and that’s good news!! In the “also good news, I guess” category, I had already cleared my schedule for my week of recovery time, and I can’t go back and undo that, so I have a week of R&R coming up! It’s “good news, I guess” because I don’t make any money unless I see clients. But I’ve had busy weeks for a while now, and a busy one when I come back to work, so I think that’s ok. And having decided that, now I’m excited about it!!

It’s going to be a staycation, since my retreat is this weekend, but that will be good too. I’m going to try to combine getting some stuff done with rest and pleasure, so we’ll see how that goes. Anyhow. Just thought I’d pop in here and share that…

And spring is almost here, actually, feels like it is here, with temps in the 60s and 70s (Fahrenheit that is, 15-21 for you Centigrade people.) Selena and Joshua will be back soon, just wanted to catch you up on my personal current events.
