FFF – 3-2-18

It’s check in time – and I don’t really have anything good to report.  I didn’t lose weight, although I don’t know how that’s possible when I’m still eating radically differently and significantly less, but there it is.  Exercise was down, probably because I was traveling most of the week and it’s hard to exercise from a car or plane – but that’s no real excuse.

What I have done is keep moving forward on buying a house and continuing to manage a really busy time at work and a lot of travel.

I had to put my cat to sleep Monday and that was really hard.  Necessary, but still hard.  I left on Tuesday, so I don’t even know how his brother is doing.  Even though I asked MP, I get more of a behavior report from him, and this cat was always quiet and easy to live with.  So I feel like I don’t know, even though I guess he’s fine.

Update:  the cat is not ok – going to have him boarded at the vet until I get home.

Yesterday, I had a lovely visit with a dear friend here in Where-I-Used-to-Live – was going back today, but she’s not feeling up to visitors.  I’m so glad I got to see her yesterday, and hope i can tomorrow.

I have questions for March, which is super exciting, and I’m going to create a post from that, but think I will just post this pitiful check-in now.  The good news is I’m eating right.  The weight will come off eventually.  Ii am old you know.  It really does get harder.  And I’ll get back on my movement/exercise goals this week.

  1. It sounds to me that this was a rough week full of work and travel and saying goodbye to your kitty and worrying about the other one. With all that, youve managed to improve your eating, which is huge! Stay on it! 😀

    • Thanks, Lea, it has been a rough week. And I have stuck with eating right. Thank you very much for the support!! About to have grilled salmon and broccoli for dinner -yum!

  2. Hi Olivia,

Gosh, it sounds like you had a crazy and tough week. Exercise isn’t doable with all that going on and all the travel. Glad things are moving forward with the house and that you had some time with your friend.

I am so very sorry to hear about your cat, it’s hard losing them, they are such a part of our lives and are much loved. I’m sorry also to hear the other Cat isn’t doing so well. Poor thing, lots of tlc needed.

    • Thanks, Roz, I really appreciate the hugs, and the understanding . I do need to figure out a way to be more faithful to exercise while I’m on the road.

And yeah. Losing my cat just hurts. Thanks so much.

  3. Way to go for sticking with the healthy eating when the stress has been high. i’m so sorry about your furry baby, but you know i believe in the rainbow bridge so you will meet again. ❤ i hope you have a calmer bit coming up. Balance is kinda hard to feel with running around so much. Many hugs. j

  4. Hi Olivia- I am sorry to hear about your fur baby 😦 It is never easy even if its the right thing to do and every day with them is a blessing. I hope his brother is recovering, but no doubt he is in mourning too. Keep up the good eating habits and it will pay off. Sending lots of hugs to you!

I’m sorry it was a hard week and about your cat.
The fact that you were able to move forward in the ways that you did shows your strength and are to be commended.
I hope this next week is treating you better and that you are able to heal from the loss.
