Writer’s Block

I know, I haven’t been here in forever. (Well, maybe not forever, but a while. Seems like a long time to me.)

It’s Thanksgiving, and I thought I’d do a list of my gratitudes. And it is mostly the same ole blessings most of us count – a roof over my head. Ok, more than a roof; a whole house, with heat and air, running water, internet, 2 refrigerators and even a washer and dryer.

In the house is this whole family. MP, who I might complain about, but who is also someone I care about and who’s been doing things to help me and show that he cares, particularly this last few months. Grateful for my daughter and the grands whose lives are unfolding beautifully right in front of me.

I’m grateful for my job that helps me support all this AND even more importantly, allows me to use my coaching skills to make a difference in other people’s lives – generally for the better.

But today, I’m super grateful for blogging. Grateful for the cyberverse of kinky bloggers. So many people I’ve known and loved – many of whom have moved on in one way or another. I’m grateful for the friends who’ve supported me through some tough times, like nora. Newer friends who teach me new perspectives, like nijntje. I’m grateful for lurkers, especially those of you whom I know because you comment occasionally. It’s such a treat to see your name pop up.

This year, I have treasured my writing collaboration with James X Morgan and our connection. Writing with him in the way we did was a new experience and brought me so much pleasure. Feeling lots of appreciation for him and for what we created.

AND I’m particularly grateful today because even though I slipped on a wet bathroom floor – feet flying out from under me like a frigging cartoon – and landed pretty hard, I did not: hit my head on anything, break anything, or cause any serious damage. Bruised ankle, twisted knee, strained wrist. But some ice and ibuprofen and I’m walking (and typing) almost like new. So that’s a huge thing to be thankful for. (Y’all know I’m in the ‘don’t fall, you might break a hip’ age group.)

But most of all, I’m grateful to have this place to write all my fantasies and stories and happy that you’re here to read. Even when they’re just tiny snippets…

Obediently, she let her fingers trail down her face, down her neck, and on down her chest, moving slowly and steadily toward her nipples.

“That’s it,” he said, “Stroke your nipples. Yes, there, gently, just circle them… Now take each nipple between your thumb and forefinger and – squeeze. Harder.”

The pain triggered a rush of pleasure and she whimpered.

“Good girl,” he said.

    • Nora, it occurs to me that we’ve been friends for so long that we have different eras of our friendship! But I think this one is the best. I’m so excited that you might be in my state and that we might get to meet in real life! That would be so much fun.
No, I was not badly injured. I did get an x-ray just to make sure I didn’t break anything, but it’s just a sprain. Thanks for the good wishes though.
Yes, for another story by JamesX and me, who knows? 🤷🏻‍♀️ like a magic eight ball., I say things like, time will tell, or, ask again later.

  4. Happy very belated Thanksgiving, Olivia! One of your regular lurkers here. Just wanted to say hi and, yes, you’ve been really lucky not to get injured from such a fall.

I know Nora is here too. Sorry you closed your blog but I do understand why or I think I do. Miss you, my friend.. I hope you are better now.
