but but but… social distancing?

Yeah, so here’s the thing. I did social distancing. I didn’t go out on the pier like I usually do and I avoided the parts of the beach that had a lot of people. But here Where-I-Live, most people are just beginning to realize that social distancing is really necessary. Even today, I had an essential errand and I was super careful, but there were tour buses full of people driving around. We are going to be so fucked here.

Thanks Michael, I will. I have a good friend in Paris who has kept me updated on what’s going on there and you know, I’ve kept up with friends in other places on Facebook. But that’s part of why I’ve been watching the news so closely – to see when it would sink in here. Um, not yet.

Well, I wouldn’t say warm. Children seem to be undeterred by the temp, but you couldn’t pay me to get in there. It is however warm enough that I can get my feet a wet for a bit.

Glad you got some fresh air and sunshine, Olivia! Also glad to hear that you are ahead of things with the social distancing. We’re north of you, but things are shutting down pretty quickly. I have been preaching to my parents all week to STAY HOME and just talked them into picking up curbside groceries where they live……. dingbats haven’t all cancelled churches yet up here though……. some have, some haven’t. I’ve been going up into the hills. It’s a well traveled public trail but the views are stunning and gets me out under the oaks. I think I might have been a dryad in another life.
