Halloween is definitely more fun when there are grands involved. 🙂
Did you know that, according to Snopes, there has not been one single documented incident of someone randomly giving out poisoned candy. Not. One.
I think about all the candy we meticulously inspected for signs of tampering. All the darn candy we through away. For nothing. For cultural paranoia. Although, if it was really good candy – like those Hershey miniatures? We grown-ups might have eaten a couple anyway, after the kids were tucked safely in bed.

We lost power for two days and I thought I was going to end up eating ALL the candy all by myself. But the electric company came through with an eleventh hour save for trick or treaters.
I tried not to be bitter… ;-p

Well, thank goodness for the electric company! Having to eat all the Halloween candy would have been an American tragedy for sure!! Lol

Halloween is the one day a year that children work for us! Lol my mother very dramatically had our candy x ray one year. Heh
