i found a place where i can go to learn and practice meditation. It’s Buddhist, which is about as close to a religion as i have these days. i’m kind of excited. I’ll be out of town this week, so i can’t start til next Tuesday, but it’s something to look forward to.
i also found a retreat center that looks like it has an affordable overnight cottage. If it’s not already booked for the next three years, i might spend a couple of nights there. i’ll have to figure out how to do it so my daughter doesn’t have to pay a babysitter, or even wait til they’re gone, but at least i know where i can go.
And i made some progress on the house yesterday, so that’s exciting. My bedroom is still the worst but there’s hope in the foreseeable future.
oh! A Buddhist retreat does sound really exciting! i wonder if you can take pictures? That is really pretty cool. And congrats on the house. 🙂

Very exciting news! I love the mediation part. I have started a 14 week intense Yoga practice and the most important part is the breathing. It is hard work (learning the practice) but I am doing this for myself and no one else and it feels great. It’s my 2 hours of solitude weekly! Glad to see you are going to take a few steps for yourself. Looking forward to your updates.
