Myself!
i saw on Dirty Sci-Fi Buddha’s blog that he’d been nominated (actually nominated by somebody else) to participate in the Three Day Quote Challenge, so i went over to see what it was.
The rules are simple:
- Thank the person who nominated you.
- Post a quote for 3 consecutive days.
- Nominate 3 new bloggers everyday.
i have only myself to thank for this, so consider that part done. i hesitate to start nominating people, because i know so many people who don’t like that. So if you’re reading this, consider yourself nominated – if you want to play.
“It’s hard for an educated woman to turn her head off. That’s part of the joy of being a submissive. None of the decisions are yours. When you can’t refuse anything and can’t even move, those voices in your head go silent. All you can do, and all you are permitted to do, is feel.”
― Cherise Sinclair, Dark Citadel
This quote would be better if it didn’t say “an educated woman.” i don’t think that education is the factor that makes it hard to let go of control, to give up the reigns. But the rest of it is so true.
And i throw in this one for a bonus:
“Love never dies a natural death. It dies because we don’t know how to replenish its source. It dies of blindness and errors and betrayals. It dies of illness and wounds; it dies of weariness, of witherings, of tarnishings.”
― Anaïs Nin
