Sunday Morning Coming Home

I was going to post on Friday, using the song “Leaving on a Jet Plane” as my theme song. Friday morning, I was flying out, on my way to visit an old friend and go to a celebration her daughter was having. (If you don’t know the song, it’s on YouTube – and won’t let me post it here. But it’s worth looking up.)

Anyhow. I didn’t post Friday and now it’s Sunday and I’m coming home instead, after a lovely visit. I don’t have a song for that. But I’m excited about going back too. I have the week off next week, a nice staycation, and I have a list of things I want to do.

I want to revise a training I’ll be doing in October. I want to do a bunch of house things that I haven’t gotten around to. I want to start using Duolingo for Spanish again, only doing it right this time, actually studying the material, making flash cards and practicing. I want to do a bunch of editing and writing. I toy with the idea of actually using my Substack account to post things. I’m planning time with the grandkids. I want to go for long walks in the park and at the beach. On Wednesday or Thursday, I want to watch the sunrise at the beach. And more…

I’m not a bit sure that I can do all the things. We’ll see…. Most of all, I want to do the things I do with intention. Mindfully. Even if I’m just playing free cell.
