Rebooting III…

Rebooting III because I used the title “Rebooting” on a post in 2020, and again on a different post in 2022. But things change, my life changes and here we go again…

I’ve decided that I need to actually retire someday and not work anymore. This is a huge change. Previously, my “retirement plan” was to work til I drop. Or win the lottery. However, that no longer seems like a good plan. (I know, I know, it never really was…).

Since I really need to not work at some point, and the lottery thing is apparently not going to play out the way I’d hoped, I’ve had to devise Plan C. I have been talking forever about Plan C being a move to Belize – they speak English, cost of living is low, etc. However, the infrastructure is not so good and it would probably definitely not work for MP in his wheelchair. So I’ve picked a new retirement destination.

Costa Rica

That’s right. Costa Rica. Yes, I’m going to have to learn Spanish. Ok. I can probably do that. And I’ll need to visit a couple of times. Ok. I can do that too. There will be some things we’ll need to figure out for MP. And we’ll just have to figure it out.

But I’ve picked a date – or a year, at least. 2026. Three years from now. That’s exciting, right?

My fantasy is a beach town, of course. Apartment already furnished, within walking distance of the beach. Shopping for fresh food in the market. Reading and writing and sleeping, walking on the beach, truly retiring.

Ok, maybe writing some kink. Who knows?

Three years feels like a long time, and I know lots of things could happen that might derail me, but there’s no reason not to get started on it. Right?

In other news, it looks like some of my writing might be included in an anthology of kinky stories. How cool would that be? Stay tuned…
