Here we go. Steps average = 4,593. Worse than last week, better than the week before. Sigh. I didn’t have a big step day this last weekend so that doesn’t help. I haven’t been to the gym this week at all.
I have gotten on the scale some though, and am a bit dismayed to see that I’m back up to 158. Yep. I’ve zoomed from my happy low of 154, which only lasted about a minute, back up to 158. How do I even do that? Oh, um, Christmas candy and cornbread, apple fritters and Doritos, and lots of other deliciousness, that’s how.
Ok, I can get back on track there. Or I can just get fat and unhealthy again. Lots of other stuff going on in the meantime, most of it moving me in a positive direction.
AND I started a new BDSM story. I’m not going to stress on whether or not I do it every day, but I’ve set a low-bar goal of 1,000 words/week. It will be fun to see how it develops. And I did hit that goal this week, so yay for that!
Tons of work to do today – and Xmas shopping still undone. It’s going to be a light year this year, but that’s ok. The kids will get what they need and some of what they want, and all will be well. Right?

You gotta ask yourself, every day, “What’s more important, your health, (as in keeping your limbs or your sight) or Christmas goodies and a bag of Doritos?” Yeah, it is stark to think of the choices in those terms.
Just go walk.

Lol, David – when you put it that way…
But yeah, walking really is the answer. Thanks.

Sorry to sound like a hard ass about this, but I found out one of my AA buddies died Monday at age 76. Heart attack. That’s too young, IMO.

And that’s sad. I’m so sorry for your loss. AND I know it comes from a space of caring.

“stark” is a good way to put it. I just said the other day to BIKSS something along the lines of “So if you’re paying $20 for a meal let’s eat those carbs and stay heavy and unhealthy for one more day, cos it’s not good value for money to pay the same amount for a healthy bowl of salad?”

Funny girl. What did BIKSS say? And did you switch to salad immediately?

Get your metabolism elevated. Aerobic exercise helps. Start some light resistance (weight),training. That helps too. Regular spankings May be beneficial also.

Ha – yes, aerobic exercise for sure. I don’t know about weight training, does picking up my grandson count? But maybe actual weights. And lol, yes, spankings would be good. 🙂

Picking up grandson definitely counts. Should be why you do this in the first place. IMO.

walk. or do a lot of housework. I’m not kidding. pottering around the house really helps with the step count. that’s how i stay on the higher end of my 10k most weeks.

Yep, I hear you. I need to do more of that every day anyhow! Thanks for the pro tip!

Hi Olivia,
It definitely is so hard this time of year trying to eat healthy. I know I’m failing dismally on that score. Glad to hear other areas are moving in a positive direction and the story is awesome:)
