I had intended to do a longer post yesterday, but I ran out of time so I just hit publish to get something posted. To feel present again. Today, I’m back with some updates.

I have resolved my work/career issues. I’m not pursuing a private practice, not trying to offer classes or workshops. If I get asked to do something, I’m happy to oblige. And I have a few clients and workshops that I’m continuing wiht. But I’m not marketing or searching for opportunity.

I am coaching for an organization, doing emotional wellness coaching with individual clients. It doesn’t pay great, but working about 24 hours/week, plus my retirement income, I’m making enough to live on. And I’m doing what I actually do best. Working with people who are struggling with stress and a sense of being overwhelmed, feeling sad, or feeling anxious, I help them figure out what they need to feel better. I have a steady stream of clients, most of whom are a delight to work with.

I only work 4 days/week, so I have 3 day weekends every week! I use some of that time to do some pro-bono coaching that I also enjoy. I feel really settled and positive about the flow of my life.

I still want to move to Costa Rica in a couple of years, but that’s off in the distance. I need to make the most of the life I have now and not get too far ahead of myself.

Recently, I was reading a book of paranormal romance – and I stumbled across one that included tentacle sex! It made me think about some bloggers I knew long ago who were big fans of tentacle sex – the idea of it anyhow. I don’t know anyone who actually did it with an octopus type creature. I don’t think any of them still read here, but it was some nice memories. One of them – she went by Vanilla Mom – wrote fabulous stories, but I’d be reading along and all of a sudden there would be a tentacled sea creature getting women pregnant. I’m not trying to yuk someone’s yum, but ewwwww. It does ick me out.
